Keep these 5 tips “candy”

1. Create a couples costume.

Designing and coordinating costumes can be a fun way to bond and show off your creativity. Whether you go for something scary, funny, or romantic, working together on a shared project can strengthen your partnership. Are you the couple who wants to have a matching or rival couples-themed costume? How about Superman and Wonder Woman? Batman and Robin? Kermit and Miss Piggy? Wednesday and Minion?

2. Host a Halloween movie marathon.

Cuddle up with your favourite snacks and watch a selection of Halloween-themed movies. Whether you prefer horror classics or light-hearted animations, this is a cozy way to enjoy the season together.

3. Face your fears.

Halloween can be all about facing what scares us. Take this opportunity to talk about your fear or anxiety and support each other through them. This can deepen your emotional connection and trust.

4. Plan a Halloween date night

Explore a haunted house, go on a ghost tour (there are several in Calgary), or visit a pumpkin farm. These seasonal activities can create memorable experiences and give you a chance to enjoy each other’s company in a fun, festive way.

5. Reflect on your relationship.

As the year winds down, Halloween can be a good time to reflect on the “skeletons” in your relationship closet. Address any unresolved issues with kindness and empathy, allowing you to move forward stronger as a couple.

Wishing you a wicked good time this Halloween!
